The IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) 18Edition 2018, stipulate that electrical installations are periodically inspected and tested every five years in office buildings, every five years in retail premises, three years for industrial, in domestic dwellings, either every ten years or whenever occupancy changes and every five years for the rented domestic sector.
